In revealing the logo for the 2014 major league baseball all star game it is clear: The city hopes the biggest star of the game will be Minneapolis itself.
Two weeks ago Minneapolis sent a delegation to this year's all star game in New York to learn from their hosting experience.
One take away was that getting around wasn't always convenient.
"Between the airport and city field and the Javitz Center, the distances were quite large so people did have to use transportation to get from one thing to the next," says Kristen Montag with Meet Minneapolis.
Minneapolis has an advantage in that the stadium is already so close to downtown. Light rail will also make travel from the airport and people's hotels very easy.
So how big of a deal is this game? Minneapolis expects 160,000 visitors. At least $75 million in economic activity. And TV viewership of about 35 million people.
This isn't just a baseball game -- it's a huge opportunity for the city to bask in the national spotlight.
