Beltrami County sheriff's officials say they're investigating a deadly hit-and-run.

Two people found the body of a 25-year-old man on a road near Bemidji about 4:30 Wednesday morning.

Sheriff's investigators say skid marks and vehicle parts were found on the road.

The only description the sheriff's department released on the vehicle is that it's red and has front end damage.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying the vehicle and driver involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office at 218-333-9111.

Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
