Restaurant Report Card

Posted: Updated:

There seems to be a common trend when it comes to this week's Restaurant Report Card.
But it's not a trend you may want to start following.

In this week's Restaurant Report Card, it seems many restaurants can't seem to mark and label some foods and that is a critical violation. Beef Steak Club was cited. Fargo Country Club, India Palace and at Café 21.

But at Café 21, this was not their first critical violation. A few months back, they were also cited for the same violation.

Over at McDonald's on Main Avenue in Fargo, they also received a critical violation.
But this one was for improper handling of foods. A worker there was observed toasting english muffins with his bare hands. The health inspector says the problem was quickly fixed.

But not every restaurant in town is receiving bad reports.
Manager of the Happy Joe's on north Broadway in Fargo believes he hasn't had any violations for the past 3 years.
He says cleanliness at his restaurant is a top priority and it is something he instills in his employees.

"I always say if you have time to lean you have time to clean and when we are not busy then they are picking up a brush or rag and cleaning," says Damien LeBlanc, manager at Happy Joe's.
