West Nile Virus Found in Cass County Mosquitoes

Posted: Updated:

Traces of West Nile Virus have been found in mosquitoes in Cass County.

Cass County Vector Control says that three pools of mosquitoes tested positive for the virus.

Which means they want to encourage you to cover up, especially during dawn and dusk when the mosquitoes are out in full force. Also, they say it's a good idea to wear bug spray with DEET.

Both West Fargo and Fargo have mosquito spraying planned for Wednesday at 8 p.m.

An aerial spraying over Trollwood Park in Moorhead is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
