Fargo Beer Company Brews First Batch

Posted: Updated:

Fargo Beer Company brews are now flowing in the company's namesake city. The craft brewing operation has gone out-of-state to make its beer for the last two years.

In the meantime, its four founders, who all Fargo natives, turned a downtown Fargo warehouse into a brewery. Their first batch of beer was brewed on Tuesday and should be ready to drink in three weeks.

Brewmaster Chris Anderson says the founders have been looking forward to this day for a while now.

"It's been a long time coming for us to start brewing beer in Fargo, and we're very excited to start doing it ourselves and putting beer in the tank," Anderson says. "It's a little nerve-wracking, you gotta kinda get things right and you don't have a lot of room to mess up but it's just really exciting to be able to do that."

The facility's tasting room should open in the next few months.
