Traill County DUI Checkpoint Results

Posted: Updated:

Results coming out of a North Dakota DUI checkpoint this weekend show drivers are being safe.
Troopers say 49 drivers passed through their checkpoint set up on the junction of State Highway 200 and 18 in Traill County.
That was Friday night.
No drivers were drinking during the tests, none were arrested.
After the checkpoint, troopers patrolled Traill, Steele and Richland counties for drunk drivers.
They cited one minor in Steele County for possessing and consuming alcohol and arrested one drunk driver in Richland County.
Troopers say the checkpoint was meant to heighten awareness and deter drivers from choosing to drink.
