Neighbors say this is a typically quiet street along 16th Avenue South in Moorhead, but that all changed early Saturday morning.
Virgil Jons lives just a few houses down where police say a fight broke out leaving two people in the hospital and one behind bars.
"It's a shock," says Jons.
Police say around 2:30 in the morning, Angel Maldonado Junior, threw a tire iron at his girlfriend during a domestic fight.
"Another witness intervened and he suffered three puncture wounds," says Lt. Tory Jacobson, Moorhead Police Department.
21 year old Victor Martinez was sent to the hospital after being stabbed along with Maldonado's girlfriend.
"They both underwent surgery and are expected to be OK," says Lt. Jacobson.
Police say they recovered both weapons used in the fight.
"It's a very serious charge," says Lt. Jacobson.
As for Jons, he hopes an incident like this doesn't take place on this quiet neighborhood again.
"You feel a little anxious and a little nervous," says Lt. Jacobson.
Maldonado Junior remains in police custody and is expected to face attempted murder charges.
