Family looking for driver who hit daughter crossing street

Posted: Updated:

A West Fargo family is pleading tonight for the community's help. They say their daughter was hit by a truck Tuesday while crossing the street and that driver never stopped to help.

Teenager Rhiannon Marth didn't think she'd be spending her summer on the couch, but she's held up here all because of this.

"I love to bike ride," Rhiannon tells us. "He plowed right through and hit me on the bike."

Marth was hit by a truck while crossing the street.

"I was up until 3 am at the hospital."

Marth says the truck never stopped.

"I hope he realizes he hit some on a bike and just left."

The crash happened around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the 9th St. & 16th Ave. E. intersection in West Fargo. The family hopes someone driving by saw what happened and they can find out who this guy was.

"If you can just keep your eyes out for a truck with front damage."

Rhiannon not only hopes the truck driver turns himself in, but that all drivers on the road are paying attention to everyone on the street.

West Fargo police say the truck was a maroon four door. If there is damage, it would be on the front left bumper. If you see it, please call police.
