Six-Year-Old's Lemonade Stand Earns Wigs for Children

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE Thursday, July 11: A 6-year-old Fargo girl who started a lemonade stand to raise money for Wigs For Kids, cut off her hair Thursday to be donated to a kid who needs it.

Addisyn Dietrich's lemonade stand brought in nearly $340.00 and more was given online.

With all the donations combined, Addisyn has raised $1,594.60 for Wigs For Kids.

Dietrich's mother says she couldn't be more proud of what her daughter has accomplished.
Wigs For Kids is an organization that provides wigs for children who have lost their hair.

A 6-year-old Fargo girl is making a difference tonight.
She is spending her summer raising money for children battling hair loss.

The drinks have been poured and now all 6 year old, Addisyn Dietrich, has to do is wait for the customers.

"I wish the line was long," says Dietrich.

This is a typical scene during the summer months, kids trying to collect money while quenching your thirst.

But this lemonade stand isn't your typical lemonade stand, because all of the money raised here doesn't go back to Addisyn's pocket.

"All this money goes to Wigs for Kids," says Dietrich.

It's an organization that provides locks for those who lose their hair.

"Some one doesn't have hair and they need hair," says Dietrich.

And the money at this lemonade stand is adding up, as some customers are giving more than just the fifty cents per cup.

Because when you have a 6-year-old girl making a difference, all you can do is drink up.
