Peter Grzeskowiak of Warsaw, North Dakota, the owner of a pack of dogs that mauled a Fargo man this week is in the Walsh County jail.
He's facing 3 misdemeanor counts.
Two counts of mistreating animals and 1 count of obstructing a government function.
He will be transported to the Jamestown State Hospital for a mental evaluation.

All of the dogs are being tested for rabies, as the victim goes through a series of rabies shots.
19-year-old John Munoz of Fargo reported being attacked by a pack of about eight dogs as he was walking east of Grzeskowiak's farmstead.
The sheriff's office says Munoz was knocked down and severely bitten all over his body by a large Rottweiler, a pit bull and several other dogs.
The dogs eventually let him go and he was able to get to a nearby farmstead for help.
Munoz was hospitalized with numerous dog bites.
