Man Found Dead in Burning St. Paul Home

Posted: Updated:

From KARE 11 TV- A man was found in a burning home overnight in the 1400 block of Hamline Avenue in St. Paul.

St. Paul Fire Department First District Chief Stacy Hohertz says that firefighters had difficulty entering the home because of items blocking the front entry and the side door.

The firefighters cut their way into the home and found the male victim already deceased.

A large number of books and magazines were found and were likely blocking the entry ways. These items still pose a smoldering danger.

Inspectors are on the scene to help determine the cause of the blaze.
