Autopsy Confirms MT Body is ND Homicide Victim

Posted: Updated:

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - An autopsy has confirmed that a body found in Montana is that of a teenager missing from North Dakota.

Bismarck Police Lt. Gary Malo says that the body found June 26 at a home in Poplar, Montana, is that of 18-year-old John Swain who had recently moved from Sioux Falls to Bismarck.

Authorities believe he was lured to a home where he was hit with a hammer before his legs were dismembered.

Two people have been charged in the death. Authorities say Swain's body was found at a home owned by the grandmother of one of the suspects -- 25-year-old Theo Crowe of Trenton.

Crowe and 20-year-old Joshua Clark, of Stanley, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Neither has a listed attorney.
