Last Chance Fireworks

Posted: Updated:
In case you still have some 4th of July parties this weekend, or just need to stock up for next year, it's a good time to take advantage of the fireworks sales.

For companies July 5th is the last day to sell the fireworks. Which means serious markdown for people who want more! Across the Valley, many fireworks were marked off or came in deals like buy one get one free!

Sales people say it's a perfect opportunity for one more great show.

"There's a lot of people looking for a bargain," says Brad Schmitz the owner of Black Powder Fireworks, "the products are still good it's just not something we want to carry over to the next year, so it's kind of a win-win for everybody, the costumer is looking for cheap product and we're willing to move some product out to get some new ones in next year."

The last day once again is July 5th. Some stores are staying open late just for that reason: Black Powder is open until 10pm, Memory Fireworks open until 12pm, Starr Fireworks until 12pm, Valley Fireworks open until 10pm or later.

And there's evidence all on the grounds from the celebrations. Garbage from fireworks and sparklers are in the streets and in yards. Both the City of Fargo and Moorhead say street sweepers will be on regular routes, so most will be cleaned up next week.

Until then, they're urging people to clean up around their yards and street and put the scraps in the trash.
