Just days after being removed from her position as chief judge on the Spirit Lake Reservation,

"I feel so bad for the other child. She has to remember this. I want to apologize," says Cain.

Cain says she feels responsible after allowing her to be placed back with her family.

"The social worker gave me a recommendation and I had to go with that. Judges cant investigate everything," says Cain.

Cain says the safety of the children is just one problem on the reservation that needs to be addressed.

"They need more law enforcement officers, and social workers," says Cain.

She also says they need more chemical dependency programs.

"The problem with drugs is rampant," says Cain.

She also admits that North Dakotas Senators could start taking action.

"They've done nothing. They say they want change but you don't know unless you're on the reservation every day," says Cain.

Cain believes that removing Roger Yankton from Tribal Council was a step in the right direction.

"He was not an honest guy. They need some one that can be truthful and do what is best," says Cain.

But knows there's still a long way to go.
