Rogers Pleads Guilty, Murder Trial Canceled

Posted: Updated:

A Fargo man accused of killing his wife and staging her death as a suicide, is set to change his plea on Tuesday afternoon. Court documents show Ronald Rogers, Jr. is set for a change of plea hearing at 1:30 p.m.

On charges of murder and disturbing a body, Rogers changed his plea to guilty Tuesday. He will be sentenced at a later time. The 10-day trial for Rogers was set to begin September 23, but has now been canceled.

Authorities allege that Rogers shot 40-year-old Elizabeth Rogers in the head February 19 and placed a pistol in her hand to make it look like she killed herself.
