Police Searching for People Involved in GF Hit & Run

Grand Forks Police are looking people involved in a hit and run Wednesday afternoon. The Grand Forks Police Department responded to a hit and run involving a pedestrian in the 1200 block of North 5th Street around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses say a man crossing the street from was hit by a car that was southbound on 5th Street. The car stopped and four black men got out, but then they got back in the car and went south on 5th Street.

The man crossing the street was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries. His name has not been released.

The car involved in the hit and run is described as a black 1999 Lincoln 4-door with Minnesota license plates 272KPK. Anyone with information on the car or those inside, is asked to call the Grand Forks Police Department at (701)787-8000.
