Fargo Puts Water Restrictions in Place After Storms

Posted: Updated:

Due to the heavy rainfall Tuesday night, the Waste Water Treatment Plant is running at high capacity. All residents living north of I-94 and east of 25th Street are asked to restrict water use until noon today, Wednesday, June 26, so the Broadway interceptor sewer system has an opportunity to recover.

A news conference will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Commission Room at Fargo City Hall, 200 3rd St. N., to discuss the rain event and Treatment Plant operations. Mayor Walaker, Bruce Grubb, Pat Zavoral and Ben Dow will be present.

Due to the rising river level, the North Broadway Bridge will be closed at approximately 8 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 26. The bridge will remain closed until the water recedes.
