Historic Preservation Cuts

Posted: Updated:

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota State Historic Preservation Office says grants won't be offered to the public this year because of federal budget cuts.

Spokeswoman Amy Munson says that its annual funding from the federal government has been reduced by 5%, or about $30,000.

The grants help fund survey work, project reviews and education materials, as well as the maintenance of historical buildings and features.
