Man Beaten Following Sidewalk Collision

Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for a man who beat someone up near a north Fargo fast food restaurant. The 911 call came in Thursday afternoon of an injured man near the Taco John's on 10th Street.

Police say a guy on the bike was riding fast on the sidewalk when he collided with someone walking on the sidewalk.  The pedestrian was knocked over, and the man on the bike started beating him up.

"The victim was conscious but he did suffer some type of injury to the back of his head," Sgt. Mark Lykken with the Fargo Police Department explains. "Now sure what it was, but the indications are that he was beaten in the head... The person kicked him in the head."

The man on the bike took off and was followed for a short time, but got away.  If you have any information about the assault, call the Fargo Police Department.
