A North Dakota coaching legend is going to be inducted into the National High School Coaches Hall of fame.
Rod Oksendahl is currently Shanley's head football coach, but during his past 33 years of coaching he's had a record of 278 wins and only 79 losses. Oksendahl coached for 28 years in Cavalier. He is already in the ND State Coaches Hall of Fame.
During his time he's led teams to 11 State Championship Games, winning five including the Deacons who became state champs this past year.
But it's not just football, he was also Cavaliers head baseball coach where the team won 3 state titles in 4 years.
Oksendahl is also a finalist for the National High School Football Coach of the Year.
