New Phase of I-94 Work Starts Today

Posted: Updated:

Get ready to slow down, switch lanes and in some places -- stop -- for new phases of construction around Fargo-Moorhead that kicks in Monday.

One of the changes you'll see when you hit the road is the next phase of the Interstate 94 project in south Fargo. Crews are shutting down the left lanes going both directions from the pedestrian bridge to 9th Street as they repair and put in new pavement.

The tri-level ramp that connects southbound I-29 and eastbound I-94 is also getting a facelift -- it'll be down to one lane, also.

Moorhead's downtown project also makes a change today -- crews are moving from 6th to 5th Street. Anyone driving through that intersection will have to stop at a new four-way stop.

The 5th Street railroad crossing is also going to be closed for work, and you'll probably see crews up and down 8th Street as they repair roads.
