Down and Dirty at Hard Charge

Posted: Updated:

More than 1500 warriors charged their way through hard obstacles Saturday morning as they took part in Hard Charge, a first of it's kind race here in Fargo, where it's not just about the run.

The clean shirts you see at the starting line, quickly turn into nothing but dirt.

"The dirtier the better," says Lindsay Babb, director of public relations for Hard Charge.

Babb says this is a new way to sweat.

"We have thirty five obstacles and it's a different type of challenge," says Babb.

A challenge that includes jumping over a wall, crawling through mud.

"I ran one in Wichita and this one was a little harder," says Leearl Rugland, Hard Charger.

Rugland of Roseau, MN was the second one to finish the course.

"It was a great environment and great people," says Rugland.

"We are so dirty," says MaartjeVenbedaf and Page Anderson, Hard Chargers from Carrington, ND.

They  say although the obstacles are tough, it's all just fun and games.

Hard Charge is the only televised obstacle mission in the country.
You can watch Wichita's course next Saturday at midnight right here on Valley News Live.
