The state Public Service Commission says North Dakotans are using more cell phones, and fewer of the traditional telephone land lines.

The PSC says more than 780,000 telephones are in use in North Dakota.

Of those, nearly 525,000 were wireless phones.

The PSC says the number of wireless phones is up 18 percent from 2012.

The number of land line telephones dropped about 10 percent from last year.
