Train Hits Unoccupied Car in Fargo

Posted: Updated:

An unoccupied vehicle has heavy damage after it was hit by a freight train near Fargo's industrial park.

Police say a driver went around construction barricades at a rail crossing at 27th Street just north of Main Avenue last night, but got the car hung up on the tracks.

The driver walked to Rick's Bar nearby to call for help, and in the meantime, an eastbound BNSF freight plowed into the car, pushing it a short distance before the car fell off the tracks.
