Your Donations to Pets Displaced by Oklahoma Tornado Hit the Road

Posted: Updated:

Thanks to you a semi-load of pet supplies and nearly five-thousand dollars cash will hit the road to Oklahoma this afternoon.

The donations will be used to help care for pets displaced by that devastating tornado.

This morning, Home of Economy employees loaded up the last of customer donations from their stores in Grand Forks, Grafton, Devils Lake and Jamestown.

This truck was packed full of dog and cat food, carriers, grooming supplies and more.  All of it was added to our truck here in Fargo, before it headed to Oklahoma.

The Bella Foundation, a humane society in Oklahoma will distribute the supplies.

Jim Ward, Home of Economy: "Well, it's kind of amazing how quick this happened and the response was unbelievable. People evidently think a lot of their pets because they were in here buying and giving money and we had our stores in Jamestown, Grafton and Devils Lake also. We got two pallets from Jamestown yesterday. The response is unbelievable."

Valley News Live Anchor, Robert Hahn and Videographer Dylan Jacobson will escort your donations and have reports from Oklahoma. We'll meet the volunteers of The Bella Foundation and deliver the support you send from the Valley.
