As much as 8-inches of rain in parts of northeastern North Dakota over the past couple of days is still causing some major flooding problems.
In Crystal, North Dakota it's the constant sound of sump pumps. The water is slowly receding, but they're still dealing with high water. It's estimated that half the homes in town got at least some water in their basements.
Lindy McCollum, Crystal: "And here we have our pumps. This is where we've been pushing all of our water into and then, here is where the crack formed. As you can see we can't get it completely filled."
Ian Busse, Crystal: "Inconvenience for sure. No damage yet that I can tell."
Reporter: "Has this happened many times?"
Busse: "Not like this. Not like this."
So for now, folks here continue to slog through it, in hopes the water will recede within the next couple of days, so they can clean up the mess.
