Voters in Rothsay Pass School Referendum

Voters in Rothsay have approved a $19 million dollar proposal that will pay for a new school building. 348 voters said yes to the idea, while 315 were against.

A similar referendum was defeated in December by only 12 votes. This time around, the plan has been reduced by $5 million.

Voters are taking to the polls in Rothsay, Minnesota to decide whether to fund a scaled-back plan for a new school building.

The $19 million dollar proposal was reduced by nearly $5 million after a referendum in December failed by only a dozen votes. The polls close at 8:00 Thursday night.
