Hector International Airport Tower Remains Open 24/7

Posted: Updated:

Fargo's traffic control tower at Hector International Airport is set to stay open 24/7.

North Dakota Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp and Rep. Kevin Cramer asked the FAA to keep it open after passing state legislation that gives the agency a larger budget to help keep it open through the night.

Officials say the change would have limited the airport's ability to provide necessary services to the region.

The Hector International Airport tower was on a list of airports scheduled for a possible reduction in hours of service.
