Authorities Identify Woman Killed in Lidgerwood Fire

The Richland County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the woman killed in a fire in Lidgerwood over the weekend. A preliminary investigation identified the woman as Donelda Kae Hanson, who is 52 years old.

The Lidgerwood Fire Department responded to a house fire in Lidgerwood at 7:45 Sunday morning and say the home was engulfed in flames.  A 50-year-old man who lived in the home was able to escape, but told authorities he wasn't able to get the woman out.

Hanson was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Bismarck for an autopsy.

One person is dead and another injured after a house fire in Lidgerwood.  It happened just before 8:00 Sunday morning.

When crews got there, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The man who lives there says he was able to get out of the home, but was unable to help his girlfriend escape.

The fire department says one person was found dead inside the home.

The body has been sent to Bismarck for an autopsy, and the victim's name will be released once family has been notified. 

The state fire marshal's office says it appears that smoking materials ignited the blaze.
