Busy Night For Grand Forks Sobriety Checkpoint

Two people were arrested this weekend for drunk driving in Grand Forks during a sobriety checkpoint. The checkpoint and an alcohol enforcement saturation was done Saturday evening in Grand Forks. Three hundred and five cars went through the checkpoint. Five drivers had been drinking. Four people were also arrested for DUI from the alcohol saturation enforcement. Six were arrested for drug offences, and nine were cited for minor in consumption. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, in the northeast region of the state, alcohol has been a factor in 12 deadly crashes this year.
