Veterans Boulevard Closed for Construction

Posted: Updated:

Veterans Boulevard is closed today as construction begins to widen and improve the roadway.

Engineers plan  to widen the road from a two lane rural highway to a four lane urban highway with a median and turn lanes. Water main and sewer infrastructure will also be put in underneath the new highway. Traffic lights will then be improved at both 32nd and 40th Ave. South along with the installation of a new traffic light at 36th Ave. South.

The closure will start at 32nd Ave. South and run to 36th Ave. South. Once the school year is over in West Fargo that closure will expand down to 40th Ave. South.

The road will remain closed until August 15th, the project should be complete by October.
