Dickinson Catholic School Reorganizing

Posted: Updated:

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - The Dickinson Catholic Schools Board of Education says it will not renew the contracts of two of its directors. The announcement comes on the heels of a restructuring of the board.
The Dickinson Press reports that contracts for Activities Director Rick Gordon and Development Director John Heinen have not been renewed for the upcoming school year.
In a letter from board this week, the priests said they needed a "more sufficient model of administration" after former Superintendent Kelly Koppinger's resignation last month.
The reorganization has been approved by the Diocese of Bismarck.
The board announced a nationwide search to fill open administrative positions.
Trinity High School Principal Carter Fong says the exact roles of the president and the principals have yet to be defined.
