Rising River Means More Road Closings this Weekend

As the Red River continues to rise more and more roads will begin to close. Cass County has over 600 miles of roads and about 300 bridges. They say once the river hits 28 Ft. their closures will start increase dramatically.

County drivers are reminded that barricades are in place for a reason and that going around any road closed signs is illegal. Not only can you put yourself in a dangerous situation but you'll be fined $250.

In Fargo, Elm street was the first road to go under water and many more will close this weekend. The Red River could reach 30 Ft. by Monday, which means four new roads will close in Fargo and more will come throughout the week as the water continues to rise.
