2nd Street in Fargo Closing Friday

Clay levee construction along 2nd Street from 4th St. S. to 6th Ave. N. will begin Friday, April 26. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will oversee the project and have contractors working on the north and south ends of the levee at the same time. Please be aware of the following closures and detours related to work on 2nd Street.

  • 2nd Street S. will be closed between 4th Street S. and Main Avenue starting at 2 p.m. on Friday. Traffic will be detoured via 4th Street & Main Avenue.
  • 2nd Street N. will be closed between 6th Avenue N. & 1st Avenue N. starting at 2 p.m. on Friday. Traffic will be detoured via 4th Street N.
  • The North Broadway Bridge over the Red River will close Friday either late afternoon or evening. The closure will depend on the rate at which the Red River is rising.
