Countdown to Fargo Marathon: Under a Month To Go

Posted: Updated:

The countdown to the Fargo Marathon is on.  We're under a month away from race day.

Full marathoners should have their longest runs behind them, while half marathoners may just have one or two more long training runs.

Race experts say now isn't the time to push yourself and try to make up for weeks you came up short. You have made it this far... and you don't want to injure yourself just weeks before the marathon.

Mark Knutson/Fargo Marathon Director: "The goal of the last month of training is to make sure you get to the starting line. If you following your training plan up until now you just need to maintain and keep yourself healthy. Let your muscles recover and get fresh for race day."

You can still sign up for Fargo Marathon events. They run May 16-18.
