Local Business Donating 40% of Tuesday Sales to River Keepers

Posted: Updated:

One local business sees the flood as perfect timing for helping out a local non-profit organization.  Unglued is having its 4th non-profit day Tuesday, a day where 40 percent of all purchases will go to a local non-profit organization.

This time around, the non-profit is River Keepers. River Keepers promotes sustainable use of the Red River by helping preserve the natural landscape and providing canoe and kayak rentals.

"We were thinking it's be really cool to have a non-profit organization that really features the Red River during kind of this flood season," Unglued Owner Ashley Morken said. "And so we had talked to them about maybe doing it around April. Turns out it's gonna be pretty interesting timing now."

Unglued has, on average, been able to raise between one and $2,000 for the non-profits in just the one day.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 10am-8pm shoppers will be able to stop by and have 40% of any purchase donated to River Keepers. Unglued is located at 408 Broadway in Fargo.
