Own a Piece of Sioux History

Posted: Updated:

You have a chance to own a piece of North Dakota history.

Ralph Engelstad arena is selling one full set of "Home of the Fighting Sioux" letters from the outside of the building.

The letters are 2 feet high and the whole sign is about 70 feet long.

UND took down the 6 signs last October as part of it's settlement with the NCAA to retire the nickname.

The arena is selling the sign through an online auction.

It opens at 8 a.m. Monday March 18th and goes through Friday March 29th.

The starting bid is $1,000.00.
