Update: I-94 Open In Both Directions Between Fergus Falls and Alexandria

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: MDOT just re-opened both lanes of I-94 between Fergus Falls and Alexandria.

------------------------

Minnesota transportation officials say Interstate 94 is closed from Fergus Falls to Alexandria because of some jackknifed semis. Spokesman Jerimiah Moerke says the westbound junction of Highway 59 in Fergus Falls (Big Chief exit) and Highway 29 in Alexandria remains closed.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed the approximate 50-mile stretch early Friday.

Parts of west central Minnesota are getting freezing rain and roads are in difficult driving condition.
