MN Native Mitch Seavey Makes History at Iditarod

NOME, Alaska (AP) - Fifty-three-year-old Mitch Seavey has become the oldest musher to win the Iditarod dog sled race. He and his 10 dogs were the first to cross the finish line last night in Nome, Alaska. 

Mitch Seavey first won the Iditarod in 2004. His son Dallas became the youngest Iditarod winner when he won last year at age 25.

Mitch Seavey was born in Minnesota and moved with his family to Alaska in 1963."
