Posted: Updated:

There's been a dramatic increase in car break-ins and garage thefts in the Roosevelt and Madison neighborhoods in north Fargo, so police are hitting the streets, reminding homeowners to lock it up.

Officers have been patrolling the area looking for unlocked cars and open garages. Car break-ins and garage thefts in those two neighborhoods are up 35 to 40 percent from last year.
