Women Veterans Month

Posted: Updated:

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Gov. Jack Dalrymple has proclaimed March as "Women Veterans Month."

Dalrymple says he signed a proclamation to honor the generations of North Dakota women who have served and sacrificed on behalf of the state and nation.

Women veterans and service members from across the state were recognized during a ceremony last week at the state Capitol.

Dalrymple says North Dakota has more than 6,000 women veterans.
