Cooking Up Chili To Raise Awareness

Posted: Updated:

Local businesses and non-profits cooked up a new way to help raise money for our areas overflowing shelters. A chili cook-off brought together over ten organizations to give away some warm food, and to help bring in money for the homeless.

The 'FM Sheltering Churches Project' helped give over 1,400 people a safe place to stay last year. They do it with the help of volunteers and congregations.

This is the Project's second year, but first cook-off. To get awareness out to the community.
