The Moorhead Police Department arrested two men in connection with a shooting in Moorhead Thursday afternoon. Michael Andrew Crittenden, 23, of North Moorhead and Tyshawn Lanier Darden, 19, of Fargo, are both in custody for their involvement in the March 6 Moorhead shooting that happened inside the home at 1107 17th Street South.

Police have worked around the clock piecing together the circumstances that led to 23-year-old Anthony Alexander Sands being shot inside his home.  Sands underwent surgery at Sanford Health for injuries to his abdomen and arm.

Moorhead Police seized 2.2 pounds of Marijuana and almost $11,000 cash from the house Sands' was staying at.

Thursday morning, the Red River Valley SWAT Team executed a warrant at 2905 7th Avenue North in Fargo.  Three people were inside at the time: Tyshawn Darden was taken into custody without incident and is currently in the Cass County Jail being held on 1st Degree Attempted Murder charges.

Michael Crittenden was taken into custody around noon Thursday in Moorhead after being interviewed about his involvement in this incident. Crittenden is currently being held in the Clay County Jail on Felony Conspiracy to Commit 5th Degree Controlled Substance charges with the possibility of additional charges in the future.

Investigators are still working to identify and locate a third suspect believed to be involved in this shooting.  If anyone has information, contact the on-duty Moorhead Police Supervisor through our dispatch center at (701) 451-7660.

The SWAT team was called out Thursday morning as Fargo Police conducted a search warrant at an apartment building in the neighborhood of 25th Street and 7th Avenue North in Fargo. As of 11:20 a.m. the search warrant is still being conducted.

Lt. Joel Vettel says the search warrant is in connection with the shooting in South Moorhead on Wednesday afternoon. He says as of 11:20 a.m. one man is detained, but so far no one is in custody and no one has been charged.

Valley News Live has confirmed the name of the shooting victim is Anthony Sands. Sanford Health would not confirm whether Sands was a patient and referred calls to police.

Moorhead Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of 17th Street South around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon after people reported hearing gunshots.  As officers were responding, the Red River Dispatch Center reported that they had received a phone call from an adult male reporting to have been shot in his arm and gut area. The victim indicated that he was being transported to the hospital by his friend.

Police are now searching for two black males who reportedly left Northbound on 17th Street in a black or dark navy blue colored Dodge Intrepid. One male was wearing a blue "puffy" coat and hat.  The second suspect wore dark colored clothes.

Officers and Investigators are currently at the shooting scene and hospital gathering additional information. Both MSUM and Concordia were notified as to this incident given the close proximity to the campuses.

The medical status of the victim is unknown at this time.  Officers continue to attempt to obtain circumstance information as the investigation is on-going.

Fargo and Moorhead Police are working on piecing together information about a report of gunshots in Moorhead.

The report came in late Wednesday afternoon from the 1100 block of 17th Street South. Lt. Tory Jacobson with the Moorhead Police Department says he has officers at the location where the gunshots were heard.

Lt. Joel Vettel with the Fargo Police Department tells Valley News Live one of his officers is meeting a man with gunshot wounds at the Sanford Health Emergency Room.

We have a crew on scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
