Dilworth Man Busted with 32 Pounds of Marijuana

Moorhead Police Narcotics Investigators, along with the Department of Homeland Security and Dilworth Police Department, made a significant arrest and a large seizure of contraband Tuesday.

As a result of an on-going investigation involving prior narcotics transactions, a narcotics search warrant was executed at 404 2nd Avenue Northwest in Dilworth Tuesday afternoon.  Lawrence Kent Brink, 33, was arrested without incident and is being held in the Clay County Jail pending a Long Form Complaint from the Clay County Attorney's Office.  He is being held on the following charges:

  • Felony 3rd Degree Controlled Substance possession
  • Felony 5th Degree Controlled Substance possession
  • Felony Ineligible person possessing a firearm
  • Gross Misdemeanor Child Endangerment
  • Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Police Seized 32 pounds of High Grade Medicinal Marijuana from California, 9 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 15 jars of Marijuana Hash Oil/Powder, more than $25,000 cash, 2001 Chrysler, and an AK47 Rifle.

The narcotics taken off the street in this single seizure could value more than $250,000.  This case is on-going and could result in additional arrests.
