National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) takes place March 3-9. Government agencies and nonprofit organizations across the country work together to offer helpful tips and information to make sure everyone is aware of their rights as consumers and to strive to make better-informed purchasing decisions.

In conjunction with the BBB, Valley News Live is hosting an all-day Scam-a-thon on Wednesday, March 6. A phone bank will be set up where BBB staff will be available to answer questions from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can call 800-646-6222 with their questions.

Trained BBB Resource Specialists are available at that number throughout the year Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer questions and inquiries from the public and the business community.

Free Business Reviews are also available 24 hours a day at www.bbb.org.
