February is heart health month, and as the month comes to an end, doctors want you to remember the importance of keeping track of your blood pressure.

30% of the population suffers from high blood pressure. It is a common condition that a lot of people don't even realize they have.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, puts a person at risk for hearts attacks, stroke and other serious health conditions.

Sanford Health doctors say it is important to keep your weight in check, reduce your salt intake and see a doctor regularly.

Doctors also suggest people get their blood pressure checked regularly.
