In Tuesday's Healthier Me, the number of young women diagnosed with advanced breast cancer is growing.
Researchers at the Seattle Children's Hospital studied trends in breast cancer diagnosis from 1973 to 2009 and found a steady increase of about 2% each year among 25- to 39-year-old women diagnosed with advanced stages of the disease.
These young women typically have worse prognoses because they are not routinely screened for the disease and are less likely to have health insurance.
