Goods news for all you nap fans!
In Friday's Healthier Me, a new study from the University of Lubeck in Germany and published in the European Journal of Neuroscience suggests we should go back to the nap culture of our youth if we want to move forward as adults.
The German study looked at the effects of a daily nap on an adult's ability to perform certain tasks, and researchers found that those who took a nap scored higher on tests of memory and reason.
Why the change? Experts say slow wave activity in the brain during deep sleep acts to store information learned throughout the day, giving the brain a new, fresh capacity for learning the remainder of the day.
