In Thursday's Healthier Me, researchers say organic tomatoes contain more nutrients than those that are conventionally grown.
A Brazilian study compared the weights and properties of tomatoes from organic and traditional farms, and found that organic tomatoes, though about 40% smaller, actually contained higher concentrations of Vitamin C, sugars, and lycopene, an antioxidant compound.
Researchers speculate the increased stress that organic plants are put under may explain the differences.
