ND Man Sentenced to 17 Years for Attempted Murder

A North Dakota man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for kicking another man in the head until he was bleeding and unconscious. 

Sha Littlewind of New Rockford pleaded guilty to attempted murder in Cass County on Tuesday.

Littlewind, who is either had been on probation for previous violent felonies at the time of the Oct. 10 attack.

According to a police affidavit, Littlewind told police he got into an argument and then started kicking and stomping the victim's face. A witness told police that Littlewind had consumed about a half a gallon of vodka the day of the assault. 

Court documents say he also told police he wanted to kill the victim.
